Catherine Tallon-Baudry, PI

Email : catherine.tallon-baudry ens.fr

Mariana Babo-Rebelo

Email : mariana.babo-rebelo@ens.fr

Mariana arrived in January 2013, to prepare her PhD. She tests whether and how neural responses to heartbeats influence the orientation of spontaneous thoughts, in both MEG and iEEG data.

Stephen Whitmarsh

Email : stephen.whitmarsh@ens.fr

Stephen is a post-doctoral fellow who joined the group in December 2015. Stephen works on the links between the slow fluctuations of mind-wandering, cortical excitability, and the gastric rhythm, using MEG.

Anne Buot

Email : Anne.Buot@gmail.com

Anne is a research engineer, testing and improving all the methods we are using.

Kayeon Kim

Email: kayeonlo@gmail.com

Kayeon is a post-doctoral fellow since October 2015. She tests whether spiking activity in human neurons is modulated by heartbeats during the resting state, in single and multi-unit recordings obtained in patients.

Ignacio Rebello

Email : ignacio.rebollo@ens.fr

Ignacio began his PhD in September 2015. He studies how the spontaneous and rhythmical activity of the stomach impacts neural dynamics and functional connectivity in fMRI, and how it influences behavior.

Damiano Azzalini

Email : damiano.azzalini@gmail.com

Damiano is enrolled in the PhD programme of the Ecole des Neurosciences de Paris. Since September 2016, he explores the link between neural responses to heartbeats and subjective preferences in decision making, using MEG.

Diego Candia

Email : diego.candia@ens.fr

Diego arrived in March 2017, to test whether measures of brain-heart communication can improve the diagnotic of non-communicating patients, in collaboration with Steven Laureys in Liège (Belgium).

a

Nicolai Wolpert

Email: nwolpert@uni-osnabrueck.de

Nicolai is a master student in Cognitive Sciences (2016-2017). He tests whether the slow spontaneous fluctutations in visual perception are related to the gastric rhythm.

Clémence Alméras

Email : clemence.almeras@ens.fr

Clémence is our invaluable research assistant since September 2016, helping on most projects
