I aim at understanding the processes by which body states of the observer and social signals of others jointly regulate social behaviour. In my PhD project, I examine how body postures related to social dominance impact on how we mentally represent others’ faces and on how we respond to social signals like emotion and gaze. I further investigate physiological mechanisms underlying the effects of body postures.
